Memorial Day - Week 41

Well the dedication was amazing, and they gave talks about eternal families, doing our geneology, and always being worthy to enter into the house of the Lord. What a good idea to base our personal worthiness with the temple questions. That will determine if we need to change something, get rid of something, or start doing something. Or as taught at Silver Moccasin... Start, Stop and Continue.

In the cultural event, what a zoom that camera had!
Amanda's baptism!!

The Temple is now dedicated! - Week 40

The temple was dedicated this weekend and it was an amazing experience. I got to attend the curtural event in which they told the story of Cordoba and did many classic dances from the provinces of Cordoba and surrounding areas like Jujuy, Tucuman, La Rioja, Catamarca and many more. Dancing, Lights, yelling and really just a beautiful event to commemorate the temple.

The cultural event, 1000 kids, dancing, lights, and the gospel
what more could you want right!!

Just so glad so many of the missionaries were able to attend.
It was Amazing!

Classic dances from the provinces of Córdoba

I saw so many elders I met in the past including my Dad Elder Aquino, or trainer.
I was so excited to see him and gave him a huge hug!!

Hermana Tello from Spain, asked if we could take a photo together,
OF Course we can, I said!

These photos are us on the back of a truck with the chairs from the church. We had to move them for the temple dedication.

Is that Safe?

Luckily we were doing service - No riding in the back of a truck in the States....

Besos Fryos - translation Cold Kisses - Delicious!

Us with Amanda and her sisters at the cultural event!!
She is planning to be baptized this week if all goes well.

The following day we attended the dedication in the church.
Elder D. Todd Chistofferson spoke spanish, and speaks very well because he served a mission
here in the past, and Elder Richard G. Scott was his mission president!!

How cool is that!!
Hahah, so 2 apostles served in my mission.

We have a past, to drive us to have a better future - Week 39

My mom was out of town for mother's day, So I had the opportunity to talk with her early in Skype on the 3rd of May.  It was great to talk to the whole family! How grateful I am, that I know that because my family is sealed in the temple that we can be together forever if we all live worthily and follow the Lord.  Stephanie put it this way... "Ohana" Nobody gets left behind, or forgotten.  We all need to live worthy and strive to not leave anyone behind, or forgotten.  I love my family and miss them so much but I keep working because I know that we will be together if I do.
We had a tough week finding new people to teach because no one would let us in and all said that they didn't care or called us naughty things...Hahah, but what are you going to do about that:) We were walking one day and a women called us over, well we went and she said, okay so I am a member I didn't know where the church is, and my husband wants to learn about the church....what a miracle right!  We just happened to be passing her that day:) the Lords hand!

Wonderful Early Mothers Day Present! Elder George - happy, healthy
and loving what he's doing. It was great to hear his voice.

Happy Mother's Day!

We are on the train in Cordoba going to a place called Cosquin!!
Me with my Comp, Elder Wood, and Elder Riquelme also from Chile

Next to a statue in Cosquin that was playing the guitar quite nicely.
What a cool cat he was singing until the day ends and even into the cool night.

With a crazy lady!  Looks like I forgot that I cant hug people of the opposite sex....woops!!

If you look close you can see the tiny woodpecker!

The riverside in Cosquin rock jumping anyone?

We are kind of like river mermaids posing and trying to look our best:)

Elder Wood and I working on our poses in the river.  Make a pose last minute actions!

Just rocking our new Argentine jerseys together, with my comp Elder Toledo!!

Jungle Dan takes a look on the wild side and heads to the river:)

Looks like the Missionary Mermaids have been beached!

The reservoir, pouring out water all day long

God Does Answer our Prayers, Even if we don’t Realize It - Week 38

We went to the open house of the temple on Friday the 1st of May, the day before it would close to the public forever and we went with....18 investigators!!!  Que Capo No?!?!  How awesome is that!  We had the opportunity of telling them about the ordinances and how families truly can be together forever through the temple.  What an opportunity and blessing to have the gospel restored and temples hoy en día.

What a wonderful week it has been to be in the work of the Lord.
We had so many amazing experiences.

I found my old comp elder Lima!  What a stud!

Also we went with our landlords and their 4 kids that are all grown and studying.
They had so many questions and it was a privilege to answer them all!

Andrea and Andrez ,they loved the temple and want to learn more about how they can enter and be sealed forever with their kids!!

Look, I found Priscila and Fabricio again at the temple!!
The classic Scotty and Courtney from La Rioja,

Tommy was baptized Saturday and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost on Sunday!

He is such a riot and such a funny kid!  Such a great example for his mom
Karina who has accepted a date to be baptized.

With my little buddy
